We created an interactive PUDO map for DPD that allows e-shops to display pickup locations directly on their websites.
The solution is intuitive, responsive, and easy to integrate (for e-shops), enabling customers to quickly and conveniently choose their preferred pickup point.
The PUDO map increases checkout conversion by removing friction in the delivery selection process and giving customers a clear overview of available pickup points.
DPD Slovakia faced the challenge that, until then, it did not have its own digital platform for displaying pickup locations, which put it behind competitors such as Packeta. In addition, it was necessary to handle a large volume of data and ensure fast loading so that the map would run smoothly even with hundreds of pickup points.
Within 90 days, we developed a map that displays all available pickup points in real time and enables easy integration directly into e-shop websites. By using a small JavaScript library, all it takes is inserting a short code – similar to Google Maps – and the map loads instantly on the page, allowing the user to comfortably choose their preferred location. The map is fully responsive, working equally well on desktops and mobile devices.
The development took place in three phases: a thorough analysis of the needs of DPD and e-shops, the development and iterative adjustments based on testing, and finally the delivery of the finished solution.
The result is a tool that not only enhances the customer experience but also gives DPD a significant competitive advantage and enables its e-shop partners to offer a modern and practical solution for parcel pickup or drop-off. The PUDO map provides a clear and detailed view of the DPD pickup-point network. Users can easily search by address or ZIP code, filter by type of pickup point or available services such as shipping, returns, or card payment. Each location includes information about opening hours, making it easier for customers to plan their parcel pickup or drop-off.
The map also displays pick-up and drop-off points with a high level of detail and is available in five language versions (Slovak, English, Hungarian, German, and French).

The right of access to personal data under Article 15 GDPR:
The data subject shall have the right to obtain confirmation that the controller processes personal data concerning him or her. The data subject has the right to obtain access to his or her personal data (the right to be provided with a copy of the personal data held by the controller about the data subject) and information about how the controller processes it, to the extent provided for in Article 15 of the GDPR.
The right to rectification of personal data pursuant to Article 16 GDPR:
The data subject shall have the right to have personal data concerning him or her rectified if it is incorrect or to have it completed if it is incomplete.
The right to erasure (right to be forgotten) under Article 17 of the GDPR:
The data subject shall have the right to obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning him or her without undue delay, under the conditions set out in Article 17 of the GDPR. This right of the data subject shall be assessed by the controller in the light of all the relevant circumstances in accordance with Article 17 GDPR.
The right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR:
Where the processing is based on consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means, the data subject shall have the right to obtain his or her personal data which he or she has provided to the controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and shall have the right to transmit those data to another controller. As far as technically feasible, he or she shall have the right to have the data transmitted directly from one controller to another.
The right to restrict the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 18 GDPR:
The data subject shall have the right to have the controller restrict the processing of his or her personal data if one of the cases referred to in Article 18 of the GDPR occurs (e.g. if the data subject contests the accuracy of the personal data during the period for verifying their accuracy).
